1. Link testing
Login as the Editor. Click on all links to see if they work. This test does not include filling in forms.
2. Author testing
Login as the Editor. Create an author account in the Admin menu. Use an email address that you can receive. Check to see if the author received an email notice.
Login as this author and submit a file. Go to the author's menu and try all the links. See if the file is listed in the directory of author's files.
Log in as the Editor. Using the Status Board, apply an MR# to this file. See if it shows up in the table of files ready to review.
3. Reviewer testing
Login as the Editor. Create a reviewer account in the Admin menu. Use an email address that you can receive (it can be the same as the author's email address.)
Login as the Editor, and assign an MR# to this reviewer. Use the Status Board and check to see if the files associated with this MR# show up in the list of files under review.
Login as the reviewer, and submit a review file. Check to see if it shows up in the list of files submitted.
Login as the Editor, and check the Status Board to find the reviewer's file listed. Read the file.
Repeat step 3 with another new reviewer of the same MR#.
4. Reminder testing
Login as the Editor. On the Status Board, select a reviewer, and send a reminder. Check to see if the reviewer receives the email reminder. Note that there are several versions of reminder notices: First, >30 days, and >= 60 days.
See if the new reminder shows up in the reminder list on the Status Board.
5. New functionality
Suggest modified or new functions that are desired. Rank them from 'necessary' to 'nice to have'.
